Time & Location

About the Event
Subjective cognitive decline (SCD), or perceived deficits in memory or cognitive functioning in the absence of objective change in performance is associated with increased cognitive decline, structural brain changes, and risk for dementia. Much research has focused on how SCD is a preclinical stage of dementia, however, there is no standardized method used to classify SCD. This talk will discuss how two common methods to classify SCD, the Cognitive Change Index and the Everyday Cognition Scale are associated with different patterns of grey matter volume and white matter hyperintensity burden. Implications on clinical and research settings will also be discussed.
